Nvidia VS Intel
Which one would you choose?
Here’s our Friday stock comparison chart. This week I picked NVIDIA and INTEL.
Nvidia (NVDA) and Intel corporation (INTC) are two tech stocks that have witnessed a drastically different fate in the last couple of years. Nvidia is one of the “Magnificent 7” companies (also known as Mag7), which is a group of high performing and very influential technology companies.
Nvidia is a tech giant which in the last couple of years has seen an exponential growth in stock value and enterprise value. In fact in the last 5 years the company’s stock value rose an incredible 1,562.46%! An insane return fueled by many factors, two of which are the demand for high performing GPUs and CPUs dedicated to developing the AI sector and the other factor is the high request for Nvidia’s GPUs for mining Bitcoin. Since the beginning of the year it seems as the AI hype has slowed down and Nvidia stock price reflects that trend.
Intel Corporation on the other hand, took a beating in the last 5 years dropping a whopping 62.79% in value. Intel designs, develop, manufactures, markets and sells computing and related products and services worldwide. The company offers microprocessor and chipset, stand alone SoC, hardware products comprising CPUs, graphics processing units (GPUs) and much more. Nevertheless it has signed a deal with the Biden administration (Chips and Science Act) worth about 8 billion in direct financing from the American government, which was supposed to increase production of semiconductors in the USA.
